Breeding and genetics do matter & at Wish Upon A Ster Friesians ~ we breed for the SPORT! At the recent Dressage at Lexington, WUAS IVAN SPORT (produced by Wish Upon A Ster Friesians, now living at The Stables of Rolling Ridge) gave an impressive 4th Level Test 2 for all to see. Ivan performed brilliantly, and executed three pure gaits, half pirouettes, flying changes every 4th stride, half passes, extended trot and -- of course-- his beautiful canter, collection, and more. Ivan finished his test with a 69.5% and 1st place out of 6 entries. Ivan also earned "high score" for ALL TESTS for 4th level – this, out of 21 competitors! Ivan continues to show that the Friesian breed has more than enough talent to compete in dressage with top warmbloods ~ and win!
